Welsummers not only lay very beautiful dark, speckled eggs but they are very, very curious little ladies and quite the chatter boxes. Always following us around the farm and seeing what we are up to. Great in the wintertime and they lay 4-5 eggs per week. Some can take longer to start laying, usually closer to 22-24 weeks but when they do start, they are very consistent.
